SAFARIS - BUSH WALKS

Trip Information

No children under the age of 12 allowed.
A 4-hour bush walk with two armed guides.
Includes snacks and 500ml bottled water.
Options include 2 areas:
*Lionspruit is a conserved area within Marloth Park and a mere 5 minutes’ drive from any lodge/guesthouse within Marloth Park. Of the Big 5, Lionspruit has lions, leopard, buffalo and two rhinos. General game like giraffes are also resident in Lionspruit.

*The Kruger National Park is 15 km away from Marloth Park. An optional 3-hour game drive can be included at an additional cost.

*Bush walks are conducted for guests in Mjejane Game Reserve on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

SPECIALIST SAFARIS

A Shared Safari means bookings are made until 9 seats have been booked in total. Anyone from any lodge/guesthouse can book a seat and join the particular safari. A Private Safari (maximum 9 guests) means that the safari is booked solely for the guests who requested it.

Pick Up Times

Our safaris are adapted as seasons change: Pick-up times (to be confirmed with booking): JAN, FEB, MAR, OCT, NOV, DEC: 04:30 | APR, MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG, SEPT: 05:00

Conservation Fees

Children under 2 years of age - free. Internationals: R400 per person, children under 12 years R200 per child. Locals: R100 per person, children under 12 years R50 per child.

Shared Safari

Anyone from any lodge/guesthouse can book a seat and join the particular safari.

Private Safari

The safari is booked solely for the guests who requested it. Maximum 9 guests. This is the most popular option amongst guests.

Children

Children under the age of 8 are more than welcome on privately hired open vehicles. All children under 12 have 40% discounted rates, as well as half-price conservation fees to enter the Kruger National Park.

Breakfast and lunch packs can be arranged at an additional fee.

Recommended Dress Code

Driving safaris: Summer months - light and loosely fit clothes, preferably not bright colours. Hats and sunscreen are of utmost importance. Winter months - short sleeved shirts combined with a warm jersey, jacket and long pants. Buffs and beanies and gloves for the chilly early morning air. Walking safaris: Summer months: Light and loosely fit clothes, NO BRIGHT colours. Closed, comfortable walking shoes. Winter months: Long pants, short sleeved shirts with a jersey. Closed, comfortable walking shoes. Hats and sunscreen at all times.
